Every AI mail feature is off until you turn it on. Here's what each one does.
Noots can triage and summarize your mail, and on higher plans act on it. All of it is off by default, for every person, and turning it on is enforced on the server rather than by hiding a button.
Triage posts the whole message — sender, recipients, subject and body — to an AI provider. That's your correspondence, and often somebody else's words too. Nobody who has never opened these settings has agreed to that, so nothing runs until you say so.
The settings
Open AI settings from the Mail toolbar.

Draft replies automatically runs at the end of a triage pass, not on every arriving message — "mail that needs a reply" is a judgement only triage makes, and triage has already read that message. So it needs Sort by importance on as well, and it writes a draft and stops. Nothing is ever sent unless you also turn on Send replies for me.
When Auto-plan meetings books a time from an email thread, it invites the people on that thread who have an account in your workspace. An external address on the thread is not invited and will not receive a calendar invitation from Noots — send them one yourself, or reply with the time.
If a message never gets classified
A message that fails classification is retried after a few days rather than being written off, and the sync report distinguishes "ran and found nothing" from "never ran" — so an empty triage result is never ambiguous.
